What Is Nipah Virus?

How Did the Cases Start?

- In 2021, a 12-year-old boy died from Nipah in Kozhikode.
- In 2023, the state reported six confirmed cases, with two deaths. Authorities declared containment zones in parts of Kozhikode once again.
Each time, Kerala acted fast to control the outbreak.
